This coming Friday, my love and I are heading to Chicago to see the (not yet so) famous Girlyman. If you have never been blessed with the intoxicating sounds of this trio, you are missing out! They somehow seem to captivate the audience to a point of pure bliss. It's incredible and unlike any other live show you will ever see. More on that, post-show.
We knew that driving back after the show was unreasonable (Chicago -----> Indy= 2.5 hours), so we have been STALKING priceline.com for a decent hotel. This morning was our lucky day. We ended up getting a FOUR STAR hotel (Hilton) for a third of the regular rate. This is our chance so rub elbows (literally) with the rich and famous.
I think there are going to be some other entertainment-type adventures whilst on our little getaway. Maybe a museum or two, we'll see. Regardless, we get to escape Indy and be in love in another city. I can't wait.
